Hardware is the upfront cost. The Starlink Maritime kit includes:

This hardware is the client’s property. There are no rental costs or mandatory renewal unless you wish to upgrade to a newer model in the future.

Component 2: Professional installation

This is the component that varies most. The factors that influence installation cost are:

• Vessel length and type: a 12-metre ocean sailing vessel is a very different proposition from a 55-metre superyacht.
• Level of integration: from a standard installation with external cabling to a full integration with the vessel’s network switch, entertainment system and separate networks for guests and crew.
• Cable routing complexity: passing cabling through the vessel’s interior structure with no visible cables requires more time and work.
• Port of installation: technician availability varies by location.

Mobile (Mobility) Plan

Ideal for regional navigation (Mediterranean, Northern European Atlantic). Allows monthly subscription pauses — practical for owners who lay up their vessel for several months.

The upfront investment

The installation range is wide for a specific reason: on a yacht it is not enough that it works — it must not be visible. A standard mount on the radar arch and a flush composite installation colour-matched to the deck finish are two different jobs, and the second costs what it costs.
